The invention provides a vehicle redundancy safety control method and system.The method comprises the steps that whether a drive-by-wire chassis meets the drive-by-wire brake condition or not is judged; if the drive-by-wire chassis does not meet the drive-by-wire brake condition, a first brake level signal is sent to a redundancy control unit; wherein the redundancy control unit is used for sending a first pneumatic braking instruction to the drive-by-wire chassis based on a first braking level signal; the drive-by-wire chassis is used for executing pneumatic braking operation according to the first pneumatic braking instruction; if the drive-by-wire chassis meets the drive-by-wire brake condition, whether all non-brake modules on the drive-by-wire chassis report errors or not is judged; if the non-brake module reports an error, a first drive-by-wire brake instruction is sent to the drive-by-wire chassis; the drive-by-wire chassis is further used for executing the drive-by-wire brake operation according to the first drive-by-wire brake instruction. Through the method, the stability of vehicle brake-by-wire is improved.
