The method comprises the steps that in a signal lamp period of a target intersection, the number of queuing vehicles on a target lane and the number of parking times of vehicles passing through the target intersection through the target lane are counted; determining whether a time period corresponding to the signal lamp period is a supersaturation time period or not based on the number of queuing vehicles and the number of parking times; in response to the fact that the time period corresponding to the signal lamp period is a supersaturation time period, determining the traffic flow and the green time ratio of the target lane in the supersaturation time period; and determining the saturation flow rate of the target lane in the supersaturation time period based on the duration of the supersaturation time period, the traffic flow and the green time ratio. The accuracy of the saturation flow rate can be improved.
