The invention belongs to the field of new energy automobile charging piles, and particularly relates to a portable alternating current charging pile protection device which is a tubular protection sleeve or a tubular structure detachably connected end to end. The protection device can deform in the radial direction, and elastic telescopic ports are formed in the two ends of the protection device. A plurality of hollowed-out holes are formed in the surface of the protection device, the hollowed-out holes are used for checking of a display screen of the portable alternating current charging pile and pressing of keys, and the hollowed-out holes can conduct self-adaptive change when the protection device deforms. According to the protection device, the portable alternating current charging pile can be tightly wrapped, the portable alternating current charging pile is protected, the hands of a vehicle owner are prevented from making direct contact with the heating charging pile, collision to the portable alternating current charging pile is buffered, and therefore protection is achieved.
