The invention relates to the technical field of power supply control, and discloses a vehicle low-voltage power supply system and a control method. Fault detection is carried out on the DCDC converter, the main storage battery and the auxiliary storage battery, and a fault power supply loop and a normal power supply loop are determined; and switching a fault power supply loop to the normal power supply loop according to the current state. The power supply circuit comprises a power supply circuit of a main storage battery, a power supply circuit of an auxiliary storage battery and a power supply circuit of DCDC, and redundant design of the power supply circuits is formed. Whether the DCDC, the main storage battery or the auxiliary storage battery breaks down or not is detected through the detection module, the power supply loop is switched after the fault occurs, and therefore when a certain loop is powered off, other normal power supply loops can be used for maintaining vehicle operation, potential safety hazards are reduced, and property losses are reduced.
