According to the method, the equivalent rotation mass is determined according to the vehicle gear so as to determine the vehicle weight, the dynamic behavior of the vehicle under the specific working condition can be reflected more accurately, the mode of directly using the vehicle weight coefficient is not needed any more, and the vehicle weight calculation accuracy can be improved.
