According to the braking force device and the elevator, in the braking process, a friction element moves upwards in the first direction relative to a support. In the moving process, the friction element generates relative movement in the first direction and the second direction relative to the moving elastic assembly, acting force is applied to the moving elastic assembly in the first direction and the second direction, and meanwhile the friction element can abut against the mating plate in a friction mode. Due to the fact that acting force exists between the friction element and the movable elastic assembly in the second direction, positive pressure can be generated on the friction element, and the friction force between the friction element and the mating plate is increased. Along with the continuation of the movement, the friction force between the friction element and the mating plate can be balanced with the elastic force of the constant-force elastic assembly, and the constant elastic force set by the constant-force elastic assembly is achieved. Therefore, in the designed friction coefficient range, no matter how the friction coefficient of the mating plate changes, the braking friction force is consistent with or approximately consistent with the set constant elastic force. Therefore, safe and reliable braking under different working conditions is ensured.
