A power transmission shaft (PS1), which is a power transmission shaft of the present invention, is set such that a first crushing length (S1) of a first joint member (J1) that bends on the basis of a first bending load is longer than a second crushing length (S2) of a second joint member (J2) that bends on the basis of a second bending load that is larger than the first bending load. Thus, even when an axial load acts from the first end (11) side, the second end (12) side, or both sides of the first end (11) and the second end (12), the second joint member (J2) can smoothly enter the inside of the tube (1), and the impact performance of the propeller shaft (PS1) can be stabilized.
