The detection method of the unmanned aerial vehicle comprises the following steps: detecting by using a current optical imaging mode of a group of multi-dimensional variable optical imaging modes to obtain current detection information, wherein the group of multi-dimensional variable optical imaging modes are associated with spatial information, spectral information and polarization information; selecting a target imaging mode from the set of multi-dimensional variable optical imaging modes based on the current detection information, the target imaging mode corresponding to the specific spatial information, spectral information and polarization information; and processing the current detection information by using the target imaging mode to output target detection information. In this way, the unmanned aerial vehicle has the high environment adaptability of target intelligent false target detection, smoke disguising recognition and the like, and can still autonomously obtain high-precision detection information under the environment conditions of complex scenes, false targets or disguising targets, smoke and the like.
