The invention provides an electromechanical brake and a locking device therefor. The locking device comprises a support; the rotating rod comprises an operating end which is used for being interlocked with a ratchet wheel of the electronic mechanical brake, and the rotating rod is connected to the support through a rotating shaft, so that the rotating rod can rotate between an idle position and a working position by taking the rotating shaft as a rotating axis; the electromagnet acts on the acting end of the rotating rod, so that the rotating rod is driven to rotate from the idle position to the working position; the reset component is used for promoting the rotating rod to return to the idle position from the working position; the locking device is configured to enable the moving distance c of the operating end of the rotating rod to be more than three times of the moving distance d of the acting end when the rotating rod moves from the idle position to the working position. According to the electronic mechanical brake, the occupied space is smaller, and the electronic mechanical brake is more compact.
