The invention belongs to the technical field of generator control, and particularly relates to a starting and charging control method for a parking generator system, which comprises the following steps: a generator performs self-starting or hand-pulling starting according to the voltage of a storage battery; when the generator is self-started, the stepping motor opens the accelerator and adjusts the air door and the accelerator according to the environment temperature to complete self-starting; when the generator is started by hand pulling, ignition action is carried out, after the generator is ignited, the stepping motor gradually accelerates the opening speed of the air door according to the environment temperature from low to high, and starting is completed; after the generator is started, entering a constant-current charging mode to charge an accumulator jar, converting into a constant-voltage charging mode after the voltage of the accumulator jar exceeds a preset voltage, and automatically closing the generator when the vehicle is started or the charging current is lower than a preset current in the charging process; by means of the method, the parking generator can be rapidly and automatically started, and more energy is saved in the charging process.
