The invention relates to an inhabiting device for an unmanned aerial vehicle and the unmanned aerial vehicle. The inhabitation device includes an adhesion device directly or indirectly connected to the unmanned aerial vehicle, a voltage booster configured to provide an electric field to the adhesion device, and an electrical isolator configured to electrically isolate the voltage booster from the unmanned aerial vehicle. The adhesive device includes a first encapsulation layer; a second encapsulation layer connected to the first encapsulation layer and forming a fluid-tight chamber with the first encapsulation layer, the chamber being adapted to contain a material selected from one of an electrorheological liquid, an electrorheological gel or an electrorheological elastomer; a first conductive layer covering at least a portion of the first encapsulation layer; a second conductive layer covering at least a portion of the second encapsulation layer; and a first adhesive layer covering the first conductive layer. The material for the first adhesive layer is an insulating material of low tensile modulus and low surface energy. According to the inhabiting device, inhabiting of the unmanned aerial vehicle on various surfaces can be achieved.
