The overload coupling is a sliding coupling, in which the drive-side coupling part and the output-side coupling part together form a coupling half of the meshing coupling. The drive-side coupling part is provided with a first end toothing on the side facing the output-side coupling part, and the output-side coupling part is provided with a second end toothing on the side facing the drive-side coupling element, the first end toothing being complementary to the second end toothing, the two end face teeth engage with each other only when the drive-side coupling part has a clear and predetermined rotational position relative to the output-side coupling part.
