The invention discloses a photovoltaic array auxiliary installation device and an installation method, and relates to the technical field of photovoltaic installation equipment. The auxiliary installation device for the photovoltaic array comprises a lower supporting mechanism, an upper jacking mechanism and an installation execution mechanism, the upper jacking mechanism is arranged at the upper end of the lower supporting mechanism; the installation executing mechanism is arranged at the upper end of the upper jacking mechanism. The invention discloses a photovoltaic array installation method capable of reducing high-altitude operation intensity. The method is based on a photovoltaic array auxiliary installation device. The method comprises the following steps: initially arranging the device; installing part of the photovoltaic panel at the initial height; a steel rope assembly is installed after first-time height adjustment; after second-time height adjustment, the remaining photovoltaic panels are installed; adjusting the inclination angle after third-time height adjustment; mounting a bracket in the photovoltaic array; and resetting and quitting the device. The method has the advantages that most of the workload of installing the photovoltaic array is completed without climbing, the working intensity is reduced, the working efficiency is improved, and the construction risk is greatly reduced due to the reduction of the aloft work amount.
