A first accelerator opening degree, which is the accelerator opening degree which switches from an EV mode, which drives only a motor generator (2) and runs a vehicle, to an HEV running mode which drives an engine (1), is set, and if the accelerator opening degree becomes so large as to exceed the first accelerator opening degree, the depressing force of an accelerator pedal (32) is increased so as to be greater than a base depressing force. The first accelerator opening degree is set so as to go down as low as the SOC of a battery (9) goes down, and has a set lower limit which is regulated by a second accelerator opening degree based on the accelerator opening degree which is the opening degree in equilibrium with a constant speed on a flat road. Thus, it is possible to depress the accelerator pedal (32) more than fixed amount, thus ensuring the acceleration performance of the vehicle.
