[Problem] The present invention is designed to provide a wire tensioning device which, even when the wire tensioning device for preventing tire slip is operated erroneously or malfunctions, can prevent the wire from being drawn out from the wire tensioning device while the car is running. [Solution]The present invention includes a plurality of tooth parts formed on a wheel, a first locking tooth that engages with the tooth parts and prevents the wheel from rotating in the direction to release the wire, and a second locking tooth that engages with the tooth parts and prevents the wheel from rotating in the direction to wind the wire, and a biasing means that applies bias to the locking tooth, which is at least one of the first locking tooth or the second locking tooth, towards the tooth parts formed on the wheel, and a first motion for switching from the state in which the second locking tooth is engaged with the tooth parts formed on the wheel to the state in which the first locking tooth is engaged is carried out by the motion to draw out the wire wound around the wheel.
