[Problem] To provide a method for manufacturing a vehicular arm component having sufficient tensile strength throughout the circumference thereof while exhibiting no more than predetermined torsional stiffness. [Solution] A vehicular arm component manufacturing method for manufacturing a vehicular arm component (1) having an open cross-sectional hollow shape by gradually pressing a material to be processed (W), which is a flat plate extending in an XY plane defined by an X-direction and a Y-direction, so that two side surfaces (W1, W2) of the material to be processed (W) in an XZ plane defined by the X-direction and a Z-direction face each other via a gap (G). The method includes a restriking step of pressing and forming the material to be processed from the outer periphery to the inner periphery thereof while causing the two side surfaces to contact a protrusion portion (113) disposed in the gap between the two facing side surfaces, the protrusion portion being provided to a restriking mold (110) and extending in the X-direction.
