In vehicle display device (100) including HUD (110) configured to display a virtual image on a front field of view of a driver and viewpoint detecting camera (120) configured to capture an image of the driver, measuring camera (210) in a position capable of capturing the virtual image is installed. In addition, calibration pattern (300) is disposed in a predetermined position with respect to a viewing angle of the virtual image, an angle of view of viewpoint detecting camera (120), and an angle of view of measuring camera (210). In addition, calibration pattern (300) is captured by viewpoint detecting camera (120) and measuring camera (210), and the virtual image is captured by measuring camera (210). The relative position and orientation between viewpoint detecting camera (120) and HUD (110) are calculated as orientation information by using an image captured by viewpoint detecting camera (120) and an image captured by measuring camera (210). In addition, the position of the virtual image displayed by HUD (110) is adjusted by using the calculated orientation information.
