The present invention provides an elevator brake and a cushion replacement method of the elevator brake, and relates to the field of elevator braking technologies. The elevator brake (10) includes a first block (110) and a second block (120) that collide with each other during braking, and a cushion (190) located between the first block (110) and the second block (120), and further includes a cushion support (130a, 130b) detachably mounted on the first block (110) or the second block (120), where the cushion (190) is disposed on the cushion support (130a, 130b). A cushion (190) of the elevator brake (10) can be replaced without disassembling the whole elevator brake.
