The railway vehicle comprises a semi-active hydraulic damping system (30) betweena frame (22) and a car (12), the damping system semi-active hydraulic (30) comprising: a piston (34) and a rod (32) slidably mounted inside a cylindrical hollow body (36), the piston (34) defining a first chamber (38) and a second chamber (40), said first and second chambers extending on either side of said piston (34), the rod (32) extending into the first chamber (38), a valve bridge (42 , 44, 46, 48), fluidly connected respectively to the first chamber (38) and to the second chamber (40), the valve bridge (42, 44, 46, 48) comprising four passive non-return valves (42, 44, 46, 48), and a pressure relief valve (64), the semi-active hydraulic damping system (30) being configured to ensure circulation of e fluid (41) in one direction through the damping system.
