The invention relates to a composition based on at least one unsaturated polymer and a polysulfide compound of general formula (I) wherein: A and B together form a covalent bond or else A is a hydrogen atom and B is an -S-R1 -(S)m-R2-SH group or a hydrogen atom; m is a number within a range from 1 to 3; - n is a number greater than or equal to 3; - p is a number greater than or equal to 1; R1 and R2, represent, independently of each other, identical or different divalent hydrocarbon-based groups comprising from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, optionally interrupted by a heteroatom. The invention also relates to a method for producing this composition and to the use of a polysulfide compound of general formula (I) as an agent for crosslinking unsaturated polymers.
