A method for making a non-marking antistatic tire (5) in a more controlled manner, the method comprising the consecutive steps of:- making a preliminary tire comprising a first layer (1) and being made of a first material,- adding a conducting material (16) having an electrical resistance which is smaller than the electrical resistance of the first layer (1), extending from the inner circumferential surface (11) of the first layer (1) towards the outer circumferential surface (10), so that the conducting material (16) can be electrically connected to the electrically conducting means (15) of the wheel (4),wherein the conducting material (16) is added along at least one of the opposing tire sidewalls (21) of the preliminary tire (5). The invention also relates to a tire (5) for a vehicle wheel comprising electrically conducting means (15).
