The charging plug according to the invention is based on ensuring that delivered electrical energy is determined in accordance with calibration regulations by measuring at least one electrical variable at the delivery point of the electrical power, the particular value of which is transmitted to the charging infrastructure. According to one preferred embodiment, only one of the two electrical variables to be measured in order to determine the electrical energy is measured in the charging plug, while the other electrical variable is measured, for example, at the connection point of the charging cable in the charging infrastructure device. The local distribution opened up according to the invention when measuring two electrical variables, in combination with transmission of the value of one electrical variable, as determined at the delivery point, ensures that the electrical energy delivered by a charging infrastructure device is determined in accordance with calibration regulations.
