Present invention provides a tread for a tire having a contact face, at least part of a plurality of grooves being provided with a wear indicating mean indicating a legal wear limit, the tread comprising at least two rubber layers, a first rubber layer being located radially outward of a second rubber layer and being provided together with a separating layer intended to connect with another rubber layer at radially inward of the first rubber layer, and the second rubber layer being provided without the separating layer, a material constituting the separating layer satisfies following relationship: [Math. 2] where G* is a modulus G* at 60°C of the material constituting the separating layer and C is an amount of wear in mm3 of the material constituting the separating layer measured in accordance with JIS K 7218, method A.
