A pilot input arrangement for a light aircraft is integrated into an armrest 5230’ for a pilot’s seat 5042’ so that it can be reached by fingers of a pilot resting their forearm on the armrest. The input arrangement includes a numerical keypad 5246’ and a rotating selector 5244’ for inputting data, and a function selector to switch between at least two input function that each enable the input arrangement to receive a different type of input selected from the following categories: a pressure setting for an altimeter, a transponder code , a frequency for radio or navigation equipment, a course or heading for an autopilot; an interfacing arrangement communicates the inputs to corresponding systems. Preferably, there may also be a joystick input for user input, and a display showing input received on the keypad. The keypad, rotating selector and function selector may all be within 12-20cm from one another, and the area of the input arrangement may be less than 200-600cm2.
