PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage member which exhibits excellent lightness and excellent sound absorbency of high frequency sound.SOLUTION: An article storage member for an automobile is formed of a formed body of thermoplastic resin foam particles and includes a recessed storage part which is opened upward. The article storage member includes a sound absorption layer arranged on at least a lower surface side and is formed of the formed body of the thermoplastic resin foam particles with communicated air gaps. Furthermore, porosity of the entire formed body of the thermoplastic resin foam particles having the communicated air gaps is 15-50%, and porosity of a surface layer part of the formed body of the thermoplastic resin foam particles with the communicated air gaps is 15% or higher.

    【課題】 軽量性に優れ、且つ、高周波音での吸音性に優れる物品収納部材を提供する。【解決手段】熱可塑性樹脂発泡粒子成形体からなり、上方に開口した凹状の収納部を有する自動車用物品収納部材において、該物品収納部材は、少なくとも下面側に、連通した空隙を有する熱可塑性樹脂発泡粒子成形体で形成された吸音層を有している。さらに、該連通した空隙を有する熱可塑性樹脂発泡粒子成形体全体の空隙率が15%以上50%以下であり、該連通した空隙を有する熱可塑性樹脂発泡粒子成形体の表層部分の空隙率が15%以上である。【選択図】 図1
