PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow each station side to automatically generate and output train car composition information including the number of connected train cars and the number of doors of each train car every time in response to an actually arriving train.SOLUTION: The train car composition information generating apparatus comprises: a detecting section that is arranged at a predetermined position beside rail tracks on which a train entering a platform passes through, detects a distance to a side face of the train passing through the predetermined position and generates and outputs a value corresponding to the distance; and an information processing section that generates and outputs train car composition information including the number of connected train cars and/or the number of passenger doors of each train car at least on the basis of the value corresponding to the distance and/or variations per unit time thereof outputted by the detecting section.

    【課題】各駅の側において、実際の到来列車に対応して、車両連結台数や各車両のドア数を含む列車編成情報をその都度に自動的に生成出力させることを可能とすること。【解決手段】プラットホームへ入線しようとする列車が通過する線路脇の所定位置に配置され、前記所定位置を通過する列車の側面までの距離を検知して距離相当値を生成出力する検知部と、前記検知部から出力される前記距離相当値及び/又はその単位時間あたりの変化量に少なくとも基づいて、前記列車の連結車両台数及び/又は各車両毎の乗客用ドア数を含む列車編成情報を生成出力する情報処理部と、を包含して構成する。【選択図】図1
