PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detector for a railroad crossing warning device, that is capable of automatically detecting failure of an intermittent unit and a sound emitting unit of the railroad crossing warning device.SOLUTION: A current value input processing section 520 periodically operates an A/D converter in order to convert output of a current sensor which measures current of an intermittent unit and a sound emitting unit of a railroad crossing warning device into current value data indicating a current value measured by the current sensor. A failure determination section 530 determines whether failure has occurred in the intermittent unit and the sound emitting unit, on the basis of the current value data converted by the current value input processing section 520. A failure output processing section 540 outputs a failure output signal indicating whether failure has been generated or not in the railroad crossing warning device, on the basis of a determination result of the failure determination section 530, and lights various kinds of LEDs that indicate a failure state.

    【課題】踏切警報機の断続部と音発部の故障の検出を自動で行うことができる踏切警報機故障検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】電流値入力処理部520は、定期的に、A/D変換器を動作させ、踏切警報機の断続部及び音発部の電流を測定する電流センサの出力を、電流センサで測定された電流値を示す電流値データに変換する。故障判別部530は、電流値入力処理部520によって変換された電流値データに基づいて、断続部及び音発部に故障が発生しているか否かを判別する。故障出力処理部540は、故障判別部530による判別結果に基づいて、踏切警報機に故障が発生しているか否かを示す故障出力信号を出力すると共に、故障状態を示す各種LEDを点灯させる。【選択図】図5
