PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic adjustment system and adjustment method capable of accurately adjusting vehicle accessories so that a driver can assume an optimal driving posture.SOLUTION: An automatic adjustment system autonomously adjusts the use styles of vehicle accessories including a power seat 40, door mirrors 50, a room mirror 60, a seat belt anchor 70, and a steering wheel 80 of a vehicle 100. The automatic adjustment system includes a physique measurement unit 2 that optically measures the physique of a driver, a body ECU 3 that determines the use styles of the vehicle accessories on the basis of a result of measurement by the physique measurement unit 2, and a seat ECU 4, door mirror ECU 5, room mirror ECU 6, seat belt ECU 7, and steering wheel ECU 8 that adjust the vehicle accessories in line with the use styles determined by the body ECU 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
