PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both the size reduction of a vehicle drive unit and the improvement of a cooling effect and a lubrication effect.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive unit 1 comprises: a rotor shaft 4 which rotates integrally with a rotor 32 of a rotating electric machine 3; a drive gear 51 which rotates integrally with the rotor shaft 4; and a driven gear 55 which is engaged with the drive gear 51. A scrape-up member 6 which rotates integrally with the rotor 32, and scrapes up oil from an oil sump 7, and an opposing internal face 21a being a part of an internal face of a case 2 are arranged while opposing each other in an axial direction A. Orientations of oblique teeth of the drive gear 51 and the driven gear 55 are set so that a thrust force is generated in an orientation in which the drive gear 51 is separated from the opposing internal face 21a at the forward power traveling of a vehicle in an engagement part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両用駆動装置の小型化と冷却効果及び潤滑効果の向上とを共に達成する。【解決手段】車両用駆動装置1は、回転電機3のロータ32と一体回転するロータ軸4と、ロータ軸4と一体回転する駆動ギヤ51と、駆動ギヤ51に噛み合う従動ギヤ55とを備える。ロータ32と一体回転してオイル貯留部7からオイルを掻き上げる掻上部材6と、ケース2の内面の一部である対向内面21aとが、軸方向Aに対向して配置される。駆動ギヤ51及び従動ギヤ55の斜歯の向きが、噛合部において車両の前進力行時に駆動ギヤ51を対向内面21aから離間させる向きのスラスト力が生じるように設定されている。【選択図】図1
