PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely calculate a distance which can be traveled even in no overhead wire traffic system in which vehicle condition changes.SOLUTION: An operation assisting device which assists operation of a vehicle that travels on an electric power of an energy accumulation device includes a vehicle mass transition estimating part which predicts transition of a vehicle mass in a predetermined section based on a past or current peripheral environment information of the vehicle, and a movable distance calculation part which calculates an amount of power consumption required for travelling based on the predicted vehicle mass, and calculates a movable distance according to a remaining capacity of the energy accumulation device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
