PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard lamp control system and a photo-detection device capable of preventing an onboard lamp which should be extinguished on the basis of brightness of the periphery, from being extinguished because of a malfunction.SOLUTION: A photo-detection device 4a includes, in addition to an illuminance detector that detects brightness of the outside of a vehicle, an optical transmitter/receiver (an infrared detector) that detects infrared coming from the outside of the vehicle. When a lamp control device 1 lights a headlight 32 (an onboard lamp) on the basis of a result of detection by the illuminance detector, if a result of detection is received from the optical transmitter/receiver, the lamp control device 1 prohibits the headlight 32 from being extinguished. Accordingly, when the headlight 32 is lit, if an infrared signal of an optical beacon is irradiated by the optical transmitter/receiver from the outside of the vehicle, and then detected, the lit state of the headlight 32 is sustained irrespective of brightness of external light, which includes the infrared signal, detected by the illuminance detector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】周囲の明るさに基づいて消灯すべき車載ランプが誤作動により消灯するのを防止することが可能な車載ランプ制御システム及び光検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】光検出装置4aが、車両外部の明るさを検出する照度検出器に加えて、車両外部からの赤外線を検出する送受光器(赤外線検出部)を有しており、ランプ制御装置1が、照度検出器の検出結果に基づいてヘッドライト32(車載ランプ)を点灯させている間に、送受光器から検出結果を取得した場合は、ランプ制御装置1がヘッドライト32の消灯を禁止する。これにより、ヘッドライト32の点灯中に車両外部から光ビーコンの赤外線信号が送受光器に照射されて検出された場合は、この赤外線信号を含めた外部の光について照度検出器が検出した明るさに関わらず、ヘッドライト32の点灯が保持される。【選択図】図1
