PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire wear evaluation method capable of accurately evaluating a wear state of a tire after an actual travel.SOLUTION: A tire wear evaluation method comprises: providing a test tire including a first tread surface, a second tread surface arranged adjacent to the first tread surface in a circumferential direction, a lateral groove disposed between the first and second tread surfaces and including lug grooves and sipings; setting a first measurement point on the first tread surface; setting a second measurement point on the second tread surface; setting a reference point for measurement; measuring a distance between the first measurement point and the reference point; measuring a distance between the second measurement point and the reference point; calculate a level difference amount between levels at the first and second measurement points based on a difference between the distance from the first measurement point to the reference point and the distance from the second measurement point to the reference point; and evaluating a circumferential-direction eccentric wear characteristic of the test tire based on the calculated level difference amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
