PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hull control device capable of maintaining a posture of a hull more stably to disturbance, and a hull control method.SOLUTION: A steering control part 20 of a hull control device 10 comprises a stern azimuth calculation part 201, a target azimuth calculation part 202, a declination calculation part 203, and a steering machine driving signal determination part 204. The stern azimuth calculation part 201 calculates a stern azimuth. The target azimuth calculation part 202 calculates a target azimuth of a hull from a disturbance direction. The declination calculation part 203 calculates a declination from a difference between the target azimuth and the stern azimuth. The steering machine driving signal determination part 204 determines a command steering angle so as to bring the stern azimuth and the target azimuth closer based on the declination, and determines a steering machine driving signal corresponding to the command steering angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
