PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elevate a position of a platform from sea surface.SOLUTION: A self-elevation type work bench ship 1 comprises: plural elevation pillars 3 which are so positioned in a horizontal direction as to be separated from one another; a platform 2 which is so provided as to connect the plural elevation pillars 3 to one another and to be capable of being elevated with respect to each of the plural elevation pillars 3; a first fixation part 7 which fixes the platform 2 with respect to the elevation pillars 3; a floating body structure 4 which is placed under the platform 2, has a buoyant force which can lift the platform 2, and is so provided as to connect the plural elevation pillars 3 to one another and to be capable of being elevated with respect to each of the plural elevation pillars 3; and a second fixation part 8 which fixes the floating body structure 4 with respect to the elevation pillars 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
