PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fork lift that can detect deterioration in hydraulic hose, and to provide a method for detecting deterioration in hydraulic hose.SOLUTION: The fork lift 1 includes: a pulley 324 around which the hydraulic hose 307 is looped; an irradiation part 41 for irradiating a part of the hydraulic hose capable of coming into contact with the pulley with light; a light detection part 42 for detecting intensity of light reflected from the hydraulic hose of the light radiated from the irradiation part; and a deterioration estimation part 206 for estimating a deterioration of the hydraulic hose based on the intensity of the reflected light detected by the light detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
