PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile electronic device configured to prevent a malfunction, to reduce manufacturing cost and current consumption, and to improve operability.SOLUTION: A mobile electronic device 10 includes: a housing 1 to be held with one hand H of a person; hold detection sensors 2a, 2a' for detecting that the housing 1 is held by the hand H; an input operation detection sensor 2b for detecting input operation; and control means for outputting a control signal, on the basis of results detected by the detection sensors 2a, 2a', 2b. When the hold detection sensors 2a, 2a' detect that the housing 1 is held with the hand H, the control means enables the input operation detection sensor 2b, and after that, outputs a control signal, on the basis of the result detected by the input operation detection sensor 2b, regardless of the results detected by the hold detection sensors 2a, 2a'.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】誤動作の抑制、製造コストと消費電流の低減、および操作性の向上を実現することができる携帯型電子機器を提供する。【解決手段】携帯型電子機器10は、人の片手Hで保持可能な筐体1と、片手Hによる筐体1の保持を検出するための保持検出センサ2a、2a’と、入力操作を検出するための入力操作検出センサ2bと、これら検出センサ2a、2a’、2bの検出結果に基づいて制御信号を出力する制御手段とを備えている。制御手段は、保持検出センサ2a、2a’により片手Hによる筐体1の保持が検出されると、入力操作検出センサ2bを有効化し、当該有効化した後は保持検出センサ2a、2a’の検出結果にかかわらず、入力操作検出センサ2bの検出結果に基づいて制御信号を出力する。【選択図】図3
