PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in determining a failure of a contactor.SOLUTION: A contactor failure determining device 10 is configured to determine a failure of a contactor group which includes: a positive electrode-side contactor 30 provided on a positive electrode-side power source line L1 connecting a positive electrode of a battery 22, which supplies power to a driving motor 24 for a vehicle, to a positive electrode of the driving motor 24; a negative electrode-side contactor 32 provided on a negative electrode-side power source line L2 connecting a negative electrode of the battery 22 to a negative electrode of the driving motor 24; and a precharge contactor 34 connected in parallel with the positive electrode-side contactor 30 or to the negative electrode-side contactor 32. An ammeter 28 detects electric currents flowing into the positive electrode-side power source line L1 closer to the battery 22 than the positive electrode-side contactor 30. A failure determining portion 102 sequentially opens and closes the contactor group, and determines whether or not a failure occurs in any contactor of the contactor group on the basis of change in electric currents caused by the opening and closing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】コンタクタの故障判定精度を向上させる。【解決手段】コンタクタ故障判定装置10は、車両の駆動用モータ24に電力を供給するバッテリ22の正極と駆動用モータ24の正極とを結ぶ正極側電源ラインL1上に設けられた正極側コンタクタ30と、バッテリ22の負極と駆動用モータ24の負極とを結ぶ負極側電源ラインL2上に設けられた負極側コンタクタ32と、正極側コンタクタ30または負極側コンタクタ32と並列に接続されたプリチャージコンタクタ34と、を含むコンタクタ群の故障を判定する。電流計28は正極側コンタクタ30よりもバッテリ22側の正極側電源ラインL1に流れる電流を検出し、故障判定部102はコンタクタ群を順次開閉し、当該開閉に伴う電流の変化に基づいてコンタクタ群のいずれかに故障が生じているか否かを判定する。【選択図】図1
