PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine a ground contact section where a portion of a tire corresponding to the disposition spot of a vibration detection part for detecting the vibration of the tire contacts a road surface.SOLUTION: For detecting a road surface condition, a detection signal of a vibration power generation element 11 is extracted within a ground contact section. Here, a threshold for use in determining that it is within the ground contact section is varied in accordance with a travel speed of a vehicle. Consequently, even if a pulse level in an output voltage of the vibration power generation element 11 changes with the travel speed of the vehicle, it possible to set a threshold corresponding to the change. Determination of the ground contact section using such a threshold enables an accurate determination. Therefore, based on the accurately determined ground contact section, it is possible to detect a road surface condition accurately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】タイヤのうちタイヤの振動を検出する振動検出部の配置箇所と対応する部分が路面に接地している接地区間の判定を精度良く行えるようにする。【解決手段】路面状態の検出のために接地区間中の振動発電素子11の検出信号を抽出する。そして、その際の接地区間中であることの判定に用いる閾値を車両の走行速度に応じて可変とする。これにより、車両の走行速度に応じて振動発電素子11の出力電圧のパルスレベルが変化しても、それに対応した閾値を設定できる。このような閾値を用いて接地区間の判定を行うことで、精度良い判定を行うことが可能となる。したがって、精度良く判定された接地区間に基づいて、精度良く路面状態の検出を行うことが可能となる。【選択図】図1
