PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking mechanism with a short entire length.SOLUTION: A parking mechanism 100 includes: a park piston 3 having a pressure receiving surface configured to receive working hydraulic pressure, and integrally moving with a parking rod 5 according to the working hydraulic pressure; energization means 48 of energizing the park piston 3 to a reverse direction to force from the working hydraulic pressure; and a lock mechanism 7 capable of regulating movement of the park piston 3 by being engaged with the park piston 3. When the lock mechanism 7 is viewed from a direction orthogonal to a movement direction of the park piston 3, an engagement position between the lock mechanism 7 and the park piston 3 overlaps with the energization means 48.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
