PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor drive unit which is compact in size in an axial direction.SOLUTION: An in-wheel motor drive unit 21 comprises: a drive part A constituted of an electric motor 30; a gear reduction part B constituted of a parallel shaft gear reduction gear 38 which is composed of a plurality of gears 34 to 37; a bearing part C constituted of a wheel bearing 48; and a casing 22 for accommodating the drive part A and the gear reduction part B. The parallel shaft gear reduction gear 38 has the fourth gear 37 which transmits a drive force to the wheel bearing 48, and the wheel bearing 48 comprises a pair of inner rings 49, 50 which are fixedly arranged at the casing 22, an outer ring 51 which is rotatably supported to the casing 22, and a plurality of balls 52, 53 which are interposed between the inner rings 49, 50 and the outer ring 51. The fourth gear 37 of the parallel shaft gear reduction gear 38 is arranged outside the outer ring 51 in a radial direction, the inner rings 49, 50 are connected to a shaft part 47 extending to the axial direction from an intermediate wall 26 which is arranged in the gear reduction part B, and the intermediate wall 26 is connected to a suspension arm 63 at the outside of the casing 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
