PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method of a pneumatic tire capable of accurately simulating the rib tier.SOLUTION: The simulation method of a pneumatic tire includes the steps of: element-dividing a pneumatic tire having a shoulder land part, and creating a finite element model of the pneumatic tire that can be analyzed with a computer; determining a projection that is disposed on a road surface and has an edge extending in a prescribed direction; and calculating the state of the shoulder land part when the finite element model is brought into contact with the projection and any one of the finite element model and the projection is rotated in a revolution direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
