PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately diagnose a failure of brake detection means even at a test of a vehicle, in a brake failure diagnosis device.SOLUTION: A brake failure diagnosis device 31 for diagnosing a failure of brake detection means 20 which outputs a signal corresponding to a brake operation of a driver of a vehicle 1 comprises accelerator opening detection means 32 for detecting an accelerator opening of the vehicle 1, and acceleration determination means 33 for determining whether or not the vehicle 1 is accelerated. When the accelerator opening which is detected by the accelerator opening detection means 32 is not larger than a prescribed value, and the acceleration determination means 33 determines that the vehicle 1 is accelerated, the brake failure diagnosis is not conducted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】ブレーキ故障診断装置において、車両試験時などでも、ブレーキ検出手段の故障診断をより精度良く行うこと。【解決手段】車両1の運転者のブレーキ操作に応じた信号を出力するブレーキ検出手段20の故障診断を行うブレーキ故障診断装置31であって、車両1のアクセル開度を検出するアクセル開度検出手段32と、車両1が加速したか否かを判定する加速判定手段33と、を備え、アクセル開度検出手段32で検出されたアクセル開度が所定値以下であり、かつ加速判定手段33で車両1が加速したことを判定した場合に、故障診断を行わない。【選択図】図4
