PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce sway of an elevator rope.SOLUTION: An elevator rope sway control structure includes: an elevator cage moving up and down in an elevator shaft installed in a building; a hoist that is installed at an upper part of the elevator shaft, and which hoists and lowers the elevator rope that suspends the elevator cage; a mounting base on which the hoist is mounted; and a seismic isolator which allows the mounting based to be supported and base-isolated by a floor or a beam of the building.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
