PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface gradient estimation device and a road surface gradient estimation method which can reduce estimate errors when weight of a vehicle varies.SOLUTION: A road surface gradient estimation device 30 comprises a vehicle speed sensor 26, an acceleration sensor 27, a vehicle weight calculation portion 29 and a road surface gradient calculation portion 31. The road surface gradient calculation portion 31 is constituted to comprise an estimation portion 32 that estimates road surface gradients and a correction portion 38 that when variations ΔWx of vehicle weight Wx is out of an error range (±Wa), corrects an estimate value θz according to the vehicle weight Wx, and when the variations ΔWx is within the error range, corrects the estimate value θz by a previous correction value θ(y-1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】車両の車重が変化した場合の路面勾配の推定誤差を低減する路面勾配推定装置及び路面勾配推定方法を提供する。【解決手段】路面勾配推定装置30は、車速センサ26と、加速度センサ27と、車重演算部29と、路面勾配演算部31とを備え、路面勾配演算部31が、路面勾配を推定する推定部32と、車重Wxの変化量ΔWxが誤差の範囲(±Wa)外になった場合は、その車重Wxに応じて推定値θzを補正し、その変化量ΔWxが誤差の範囲内になった場合は、前回補正値θ(y−1)により推定値θzを補正する補正部38と、を備えて構成される。【選択図】図3
