PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical axis adjustment support device and an optical axis adjustment method for headlights of a railroad vehicle that need not to secure a wide space in front of the railroad vehicle and can make accurate optical axis adjustments with small variance.SOLUTION: An optical axis adjustment support device comprises: a photographic part (11) for acquiring an image; a fixture (14) capable of fixing a support frame supporting the photographic part to the front of a railroad vehicle having a headlight; a diffusion plate 30 supported by the support frame and diffusing emitted light; and a calculation part which calculates a deviation quantity of the optical axis of the headlight based upon the image, acquired by the photographic part, of the diffusion plate on which the light of the headlight (101) is projected. An optical axis adjustment method comprises adjusting the optical axis based upon the calculation result of the calculation part by using the optical axis adjustment support device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】鉄道車両の前方に広い空間を確保しなくて良く、バラツキの少ない正確な光軸調整を行うことのできる鉄道車両の前照灯の光軸調整支援装置および光軸調整方法を提供する。【解決手段】この光軸調整支援装置は、映像を取得する撮影部(11)と、撮影部を支持する支持枠を前照灯を有する鉄道車両の前面に固定可能な固定具(14)と、支持枠に支持され、投射された光を拡散する拡散板30と、撮影部により取得された、前照灯(101)から光が投射された拡散板の映像に基づいて、前照灯の光軸のズレ量を計算する計算部とを備える。光軸調整方法では、光軸調整支援装置を用いて計算部の計算結果に基づいて光軸調整を行う。【選択図】図6
