PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular window glass opening and closing device capable of safely and surely securing an evacuation exit of an occupant when an emergency arises, such as vehicle submergence.SOLUTION: A vehicular window glass opening and closing device 100 includes a pinion 23 as an input rotation member to which rotation force of an electric motor 21 is input, a drum 22 as an output rotation member which receives rotation force of the pinion 23 and outputs driving force to a lifting mechanism 3, and an intermittent mechanism 5 switchable between a connection state where power transmission between the pinion 23 and the drum 22 is connected and an interruption state. A control section 4 includes abnormality detection means 41 for detecting abnormality of a vehicle state, moving means 43 for automatically moving window glass 9 for a prescribed distance when the abnormality detection means 41 detects the abnormality of a vehicle, and interruption execution means 44 for operating the intermittent mechanism 5 to achieve the interruption state after execution of the moving means 43.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
