PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular occupant restraint apparatus that winds up a webbing (a seat belt) quickly when the vehicle collides.SOLUTION: A seatbelt retractor control circuit 40 performs the control for: causing a seatbelt retractor drive circuit 50 to generate a first voltage from power of a battery 80 through a pulse width modulation for driving a motor 22 to take up a slack in a webbing 30 in a case where there is a risk of a vehicular collision on the basis of an instruction from a vehicle ECU 82; and causing the seatbelt retractor drive circuit 50 to generate a second voltage being higher than the first voltage from the power of the battery 80 through a pulse width modulation for winding up the webbing 30 quickly by driving the motor 22 at high-speed when the vehicle collides.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両衝突時にモータでウエビング(シートベルト)を迅速に巻き取る車両用乗員拘束装置を提供する。【解決手段】シートベルトリトラクタ制御回路40は、車両ECU82からの指令に基づき、車両衝突のおそれがある場合にウエビング30のたるみを取るためにモータ22を回転させる第1電圧をバッテリ80の電力からパルス幅変調によってシートベルトリトラクタ駆動回路50に生成させ、車両衝突時にモータ22を高速回転させてウエビング30を迅速に巻き取るための第1電圧よりも高い第2電圧をバッテリ80の電力からパルス幅変調によってシートベルトリトラクタ駆動回路50に生成させる制御を行う。【選択図】図2
