PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lock release device of a seat for a vehicle having a novel constitution, for example, a simpler constitution which is further suppressed in malfunctions.SOLUTION: A torsion spring 38 (energization member) energizes a changeover member 37 so that a following arm 37a (second pressing part) of the changeover member 37 follows a protrusion 35a (second abutment part) of a link member 35 which moves to a direction D3 (third direction). By this constitution, not only a constitution of a portion in which the changeover member 37 and the link member 35 are connected to each other, but also a constitution of a changeover mechanism 30 (lock release device) is further simplified compared with a constitution in which the changeover member 37 and the link member 35 are linked to each other by the mechanical connection of the changeover member 37 and the link member 35, for example, a constitution in which the changeover member 37 moves to a direction Cw2 by being pulled by the link member 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
