PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform fault diagnosis of an emergency stop switch without supplying power to a motor-driven load.SOLUTION: A fault diagnosis device of an emergency stop switch performs fault diagnosis of series-connected relays La, Lb which are interposed between a battery 12 and a motor 17. The fault diagnosis device of an emergency stop switch includes: voltage detection circuits 141, 142 detecting output terminal voltages V1, V2 of the relays La, Lb, respectively; a diagnosis execution unit 1451 which outputs a switching signal for turning off the relays La, Lb during a monitoring period To and a switching signal for turning on only the relay La during a monitoring period Ta, and which detects the voltages V1, V2 during the monitoring periods To, Ta; and a diagnosis result processing unit 1452 performing fault diagnosis of the relays La, Lb from the voltages V1, V2 during the monitoring periods To, Ta.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
