PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily assure an axial strength required according to a specification of a vehicle, and to increase a degree-of-freedom of a layout of a buffer mechanism.SOLUTION: A slide type constant velocity universal joint comprises an outer joint member 11, and an inner joint member 12 which transmits a rotational torque while accepting axial displacement and an angular displacement via a ball 13 between itself and the outer joint member 11, and a seal plate 36 is fitted to an opening end part 27 of the outer joint member 11. An engaging groove 37 is formed on an inner periphery of the opening end part 27 of the outer joint member 11, a flexure 39, of which a diameter can be reduced, is formed on an outer periphery of the seal plate 36, and the flexure 39 is elastically deformed and is fitted in the engaging groove 37 of the outer joint member 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
